After one false start, a total outline re-write, and being side-tracked buy a crashed computer and other stories taking center stage in my head, Lawless’s tale is finally ready for the reading masses. Faerie Wishes is my first purely paranormal romance story. While the relationship between Valeria and Irulan in Crimson Dawn is definitely a driving force in the novel, there is enough action to blur the lines between romance and urban fantasy. Also, Val and Irulan already had a long established relationship. They just had to realize that there was a dynamic to that relationship that they were both trying to ignore. With Faerie Wishes I got to start fresh with two characters that had no idea one chance encounter was going to change the rest of their lives.
With this story I introduce not only a new character, but an entirely new race of Sidhe, one that will play a big part in coming Darkworld stories. The Omnimorphs are a race of Sidhe that are almost extinct. Only a handful of purebloods remains and they are doing everything in their power to ensure the survival of their race. Falling in love and living happily ever after is not it the plans for any of them…or so they believe. Sometimes Fate throws people a curve-ball when they least expect it and Lawless’s curve-ball comes in the form of a were-jaguar named Kincaid Willis.
Along with the introduction of Lawless and the Omnimorphs, I also give readers a look at three characters who will will play prominent roles in my Triad Series. And of course no DarkWorld short or novella would be complete without an appearance from my favorite vampire and Sidhe, Valeria and Irulan.
