My Top Celesbian Actresses

In the entertainment industry, an admission of homosexuality was once a career-killer. Celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Elton John helped change the idea of what a lesbian or gay man looks like. Today celebs are coming out of the closet and their careers are suffering none for it.

Lost in Translation: Adapting a Work of Literature

On August 2, 2012, in Ronnie Massey, by Ronnie Massey

As an avid movie goer and lover of books, if there’s a movie that I want to see and it’s an adaption of a novel, I tend to read the novel first. Almost 90% of the time, the novel is LOADS better than the movie. Often time adaptions fall very short. Such is the case with Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

UnBound the Comic? Maybe. By Author Ronnie Massey

This morning when I woke up, it was with a mission. I promised myself that I was going to finish the two nagging short stories that I have been working on for at least a month. I also sat down with the firm intentions of putting the finishing touches on my latest Angels 101 post. What do they say about the best laid plans of mice and men? While today has definitely been a writing day, I have not finished either short story, and this is my third attempt at sitting down and writing my post.

Truly Blessed – Thoughts by Ronnie Massey, Author of “Crimson Dawn”

I was recently told by a book blogger that although they reviewed my first novel, Crimson Dawn, and loved it, they would rather not review my latest novel, UnBound: Battle of the Half-Angels. Why? Because I am a lesbian trying to promote what is essentially, a Christian-fantasy novel and they anticipated negative feedback.

Angels 101: An Introduction by Author Ronnie Massey

When the idea first popped into my head for my latest novel, UnBound: Battle of the Half-Angels, the initial step in my writing process was to do some research on angels. The main characters are nephilim, which are for those that don’t know, the offspring of angels and humans. In my novel, a group of teenagers find out that they aren’t human, but rather nephilim. Upon finding out the truth about their parentage, their powers are unbound so that they can stop Lucifer’s latest plans for taking over the world.

Fangs and Feathers – Updates by Ronnie Massey

The story that I’m focusing on now is titled Fractured Souls. I guess it’s appropriate that that particular story gets a little attention because it’s the sequel to my upcoming Copperhill Media release, UnBound: Battle of the Half-Angels. Fractured Souls picks up a few months after the events of UnBound, and will find one of the characters dealing with the ramifications of their actions in Unbound.

From the Sons of God and the Daughters of Man – An Introduction to the Half-Angel, Nephilim.

On March 26, 2012, in Ronnie Massey, by Ronnie Massey

In the days of old, nephillim walked the earth. Half-human and half-angel, their existence is forbidden; a crime so severe that it caused angels to fall from the heavens. After the Great Flood, any remaining nephillim were ordered bound, stripped of their powers.

Faeries…fairy’s…faery…fae. No matter how you spell it, or what you call ‘em, I’ve got ‘em for you.

The Land of Not is a YA DarkWorld title. While none of the Darkworld characters that readers are familiar with, make an appearance in The Road To Was, Valeria, my smart-mouthed vampire from Crimson Dawn, is making one in the second book of my Triad Series. She’s got a pretty important role to play when it comes to aiding the heroine of the story.

Strengths and Weaknesses – Thoughts by Writer Ronnie Massey

Sometimes you don’t realize something is happening until someone points it out to you. As a writer, you may not realize how much you use a particular word or phrase, until someone sits you down and points it out. Who might that someone be? Why, an editor of course. Why am I mentioning editors? Because my grammar leaves a lot to be desired.
